Stanley Pilgrim
Stanley Pilgrim was born on May 1st in 1938 to Ben and Bessie Pilgrim, and grew up in St. Carolls, Nf. Stan grew up in a house with 6 sisters and 4 brothers, and his chores included bringing in the wood, working at the fish, carrying the water, and working in the garden. As a child his favorite pastimes were playing ball and fishing. A moment in Stan's life that sticks out in his memory was when he was 4 and he was attacked by a dog. Stan's most treasured object from his past is a fishing pole he owned.
Stan was married in Main Brook on September 25th, 1964 to Shirley Pollard. Together Stan and Shirley raised 4 children. For a living Stan in the woods in a mill and later he worked on a fishing boat and as said above is now the town's mayor.
When we asked Stan what he thought of the New Technology of today he replied by saying that "there is too much technology too fast and it's taking away labor work from workers putting them out of work."
