Merona Gibbons

Merona was born in Green Island Cove in 1940 to Minnie and Leander Mitchelmore but grew up in Main Brook. Merona grew up with 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Her responsibilities as a child was helping to do the every day house work. Merona's pastime as a child was playing games. Her most treasured moment while growing up was when she had a ride on the dogsled. Her most treasured object from her past was a jewelry box .

Merona Mitchelmore became Merona Gibbons when she married David Gibbons. They together raised 4 children. Merona was not a full time mother she had a job working at a store

We asked Merona what she thought of today's new technology and she said that she thought that it is a lot better now than what it used to be.
