Kenneth Stevens Sr.
Kenneth Stevens Sr. was born in Shoal Cove East on March 27th in 1918. Mr.Stevens grew up with 2 brothers and 3 sisters. His responsibilities as a child included bringing the wood, bringing the water, and feeding the cows and dogs. His faveroutie pastimes included playing football and chasing the girls. His most memorable moment growing up was the first date he ever had. His most charished object from his past was a 16 guage shotgun that once belonged to his grandfather.
Mr. Stevens got married at the age of 22 on April 27th, 1940 in Pines Cove to Eva White. They were married for 44 years and 5 months until Eva died. During their time together Mr.Stevens and Eva raised 11 children, 7 boys and 4 girls.Mr.Steven's made a living by working as a lumberjack and a fisherman.
When asked aboput what he thought about today's new techonlogy he said "A lot of junk. They put to many things on T.V. that give pepole too many bad ideas. If new technology was used right it would be a benfit to people."
