Florence Strangemore
Florence Strangemore was born on March 12th 1934 in Wild Bight to Rueban and Daisy Adey. Florence grew up with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. As a child Florence's responsibilities included washing the dishes and helping to cook. Some of Florence's favorite pastimes was being outdoors skipping and sliding in the winter time. A memory Florence considers memorable was riding on the dogsled with her dad. Her most treasured object was a doll she had.
In 1953 at the age of 19 Florence was married in Ireland Bite to Job Strangemore. Together they had 9 children Florence was a full time mother for most of her life except for a job working as a clerk as well as some other odd jobs.
We asked Florence what she thought of today's New Technology she simply said that there are some good advantages and some bad ones as well.
